College Basketball's Tarnished Twenty...

Weber State University

The Weber State Wildcats finished their regular season with an 84-73 win at Northern Arizona and a 17-8 record. Not too shabby for an up-and-coming team with some off-season shake-ups. Former starters Damien Baskerville and Noel Jackson made waves with their arrests for rape and sexual assault last spring. Jackson recently entered into a plea bargain to reduce his rape charge to a class A misdemeanor in exchange for a guilty plea and a promise to testify against his former teammate and partner in crime. Baskervilleıs new trial is set for March 15, just one day before this yearıs NCAA tournament kicks off. Weber made a big showing at last yearıs Dance, but with a 68-73 loss to Cal State Northridge knocking them out of the Big Sky Tournament, it looks like the Wildcats will be sitting at home this March.
